Organising Group Structure and Election Process
The organising group structure is twelve people, gender balanced (six men and six women), including at least four people self-identifying from each minority group/liberation strand (i.e. LGBT, BAME, Disabled and Youth).
An on-line election was held during April/May 2017, with a closing date of 3 May 2017. An Extraordinary General Meeting was held on 25 April, 2017 at which the organising group reported on activity and provided an opportunity to meet and question the candidates. Each Momentum Bristol member had twelve votes to cast. Each of the LGBT, BAME, Youth and Disabled candidates with the most votes was elected. The other eight places were filled with the remaining men and women candidates with the most votes such that a gender balance of six men & six women was achieved.
Further details of the election process and rules are available from the organising group. Please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
